Statewide Data - Nurse Education Reports

Pursuant to Florida Statute 464.019, the Center collects and evaluates program-specific data for each approved nursing education program in the state of Florida. Pre-licensure nursing programs are required to comply with FCN data requests (464.019(10)) and may be subject to a citation/fine from the Board of Nursing should they fail to complete the survey in the allotted time frame. FCN publishes an annual report for the Legislature and academic stakeholders addressing program approval, capacity, enrollment, and graduation for each academic year and Fall census. NCLEX pass rates are also provided following the end of each calendar year.

The Center partners with the Florida Board of Nursing to obtain a list of all active programs in the Fall, then collects and analyzes information from responding programs.

FCN also produces additional reports beyond the state mandate, pursuant to the goals of the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Center's minimum dataset. These detailed reports are provided by program type (pre-licensure RN, LPN, and post-licensure/graduate programs) as well as an assessment of supply and demand of nursing program faculty. Information highlighted includes: program growth, program capacity, admissions and enrollment patterns, graduation, demographic characteristics, and more. Implications and policy recommendations are discussed.'
