Ms. Willa Fuller

Willa Fuller, BSN RN is the Executive Director of the Florida Nurses Association. Ms. Fuller began her career as a staff nurse and also served as a Clinical Nurse Educator in a large healthcare system before leaving to work at the Florida Nurses Assn in 1997. After serving and the Director of Membership and Public Relations she was appointed to the position of Executive Director in 2009. She considers herself a professionalist, which was defined by Dr, Gretta Styles as one dedicated to the advancement of a profession. Her role in the FNA is a fulfillment of that mission.

Members of the FNA as well as members of the nursing community called for the re-establishment of the Florida Center for Nursing and FNA was fortunate to be able to facilitate the re-opening of the center through the work of Public Affairs Consultant Lobbyist Jack Cory and the grassroots advocacy of nurses across the state. Special thanks go to Senator Aaron Bean, Senator Audrey Gibson and Representative Kamia Brown.

Ms. Fuller graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1990, attended the University of Florida and is now a doctoral student in the BSN-PhD program at Florida Atlantic University.

FCN is a collaboration between the Florida Nurses Association and the College of Nursing at University of South Florida.
