  • Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) - The AHRQ mission includes both translating research findings into better patient care and providing policymakers and other health care leaders with information needed to make critical health care decisions.

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) - Provides a system of health surveillance to monitor and prevent disease outbreaks (including bioterrorism), implement disease prevention strategies, and maintain national health statistics.

  • Florida Hospital Association (FHA) - "A not-for-profit association representing all types of hospitals throughout the state. Through advocacy, education, research, representation, and service, the FHA carries out its mission ""to promote the ability of member hospitals and healthcare systems to effectively and efficiently serve the healthcare needs of their communities."""

  • Interagency Collaborative on Nursing Statistics (ICONS) - Promotes the generation and utilization of data, information, and research about nurses, nursing education, and the nursing workforce. ICONS is an association of individuals from a variety of organizations who are responsible for the development, compilation, and analysis of data on nurses and the settings in which they practice.

  • Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) - The nation's predominant standards setting and accrediting body in health care.

  • Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) Series - Prepared by the CDC. The data in the weekly MMWR are provisional, based on weekly reports to CDC, by state health departments.

  • National Institute of Nursing Research - NINR develops science for nursing practice, improves patient care, trains nurses who become nurse faculty and attracts new students to the profession.

  • RNWork Project - RNWork Project website has findings from a longitudinal study of new graduate nurses funded by the RWJF. The researhcers examine work attitudes and career changes for the first 10 years in the RNs’ nursing careers.
