The Florida Center for Nursing is the definitive source for information, research, and strategies addressing the dynamic nurse workforce needs in Florida. The Center continues to lead the way in addressing Florida's nursing shortage and your generous, tax deductible donations make our work possible! Over the last year, a few of our projects have included:

  • Nursing Education Program Survey and Employer Survey: The Florida Center for Nursing has been able to provide an unprecedented look at Florida's nurse workforce and education capacity through our annual and biennial research reports. Your donations enable us to produce the most accurate data possible on Florida's nursing workforce and in turn, help build effective solutions to Florida's nursing shortage.
  • Retention & Recruitment Funded Project Initiative: The Center, with additional funding from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida, Inc., has provided over $188,000 in funding for projects aiming to improve the retention and recruitment of nurses in Florida. Your donations have a direct impact on the quality of the work environment for Florida's nurses by allowing us to continue to fund these small grants projects. A full listing of projects can be viewed at: http://www.flcenterfornursing.org/retention/fundedprojects.cfm
  • White Papers: The Center has published several white papers, including The Economic Benefits of Resolving Florida's Nursing Shortage; Florida's Nursing Shortage: A Summary of Recent FCN Research; and Making the Case: Improving Retention to Address Florida's Nursing Shortage. Through your donations, the Center is able to not only produce the most accurate data on Florida's nursing workforce but also demonstrate the impact of the shortage on our state.

Your gift of $25, $75, or even $500 can go a long way in helping us report on the nursing shortage and work towards improving the work environment for nurses in Florida. Donations can be made Online or a printable Contribution Form can be downloaded if you prefer to mail in your donation.
